
On September26, 2008 Deputy Javier E. Molinares and Lieutenant Ronald D. Hundley of the Westmoreland County Sheriff's Office attended the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) awards ceremony at Stratford Hall PLantation. The awards ceremony is provided to recognize outstanding DUI enforcement. Deputy Molinares was one of thirteen law enforcement officers recognized for their efforts to prevent drunk driving and this is the second year in a row that he has received this most prestigious award. "I am very proud of Deputy Molinares' dedication and commitment in his enforcement of driving und the influence. His efforts are to be commended and through his hard work the roadways are made safer in Westmoreland County" stated Sheriff C.O. Balderson.

On September 25, 2009 the Rappahannock Area ASAP, Tri-River ASAP, and MADD held an Awards Luncheon at Stratford Hall Plantation in Westmoreland County to recognize regional law enforcement officers who excel in the enforcement of Driving Under the Influence (DUI). For the third consecutive year, Deputy Eric Molinares, a three year veteran with the sheriff's office, was recognized for this prestigious award. The recipients included personnel from seven sheriff's offices as well as troopers from four area offices representing the Virginia State Police. "I am very proud of Deputy Molinares' DUI enforcement. His passion to make the highways safer goes without saying and is a direct reflection of his commitment and dedication to highway safety," stated Sheriff C.O. Balderson.

On Friday, September 17, 2010 Deputy Eric Molinares received an award for DUI enforcement from MADD Virginia and Rappahannock area ASAP. The ceremonies were held at the Council House, Stratford Hall Plantation.
