Should you desire to commend the action of a Westmoreland County Sheriff's Office employee you can do so by calling the Sheriff's Office at 804-493-8066 during normal business hours and speaking to a supervisor.

The concerned employee will be made aware or your appreciation and your comments will be permanently recorded in his/her personnel file. The employee may also receive an official commendation and depending on the situation, may be considered for other Sheriff’s Office and/or community awards or recognition.
Complaints dealing with department personnel, regardless of nature, may be lodged in person, by mail, or by phone at any time.
However, complaints will not normally be accepted more than thirty (30) days after the alleged incident, with the following exceptions;
When the act complained of is a criminal violation in which case the criminal statute of limitations will prevail. and;
When the complaining person can show good cause for not making the complaint earlier.
